The Blue Sept isn’t actually blue, but it was named for the Blueburn river that runs past Grassy Vale to the south. The simple, seven-sided, wooden structure is maintained by Septon Halley, a creased and greying man who has been overseeing the Blue Sept since he was young.
The Sept’s interior is much nicer than it’s plain cladding would suggest: every inch of the walls and ceiling have been painted in a single, continuous mural. Only the floor is unpainted, and that is worn by the countless feet of worshippers.
