[D7 EM] House Calls

[Maester Hubert]

Maester Hubert, dark bags under his eyes, carried a large wood and leather kit from pavilion to pavilion, seeing the to knights who had competed in the melee. Squires and servants call to him, fetching the healer to their master's.

[Leovall Marten]

One such knight sporting a wounded left shoulder was Leovall. He lifts his right hand in greeting to the maester. "Morning." He didn't sound that chipper after a painful night's rest.

[Maester Hubert]

Hubert offered a small sort of bow, and indicated for Leovall to return inside, that he would follow.

[Leovall Marten]

"Thank you. My left shoulder's aching up. Got hit pretty hard there by Lord Tremaine's halberd." He rubs it with his right hand as he heads into his pavilion.

[Maester Hubert]

After a long sleepless night, Hubert is a little sluggish, but he sets his kit down and examines the injury. After a moment he applies a salve and binds the shoulder. "It will heal up fine, but try not use the arm much today, if you hope to joust tomorrow."

[Leovall Marten]

"Understood maester. Erm..." He shifts his shoulder around very gently, amazed it already hurt less. "Will the steeplechase be okay if I use my right hand for the reins?"

[Maester Hubert]

"I'm sure you'll be fine, but rest otherwise. Riding is a whole-body affair, especially the jumps. See me afterward if you're having any pain."

[Leovall Marten]

"Thank you maester, you've been very kind. It's maester Hubert isn't it? You have my gratitude." Leovall states with honesty. "The Meadows are fortunate indeed to have someone of your learning."

[Maester Hubert]

The man nods, “we serve how we can. Take care.”

[Leovall Marten]

"And you!" Leovall calls back, much more cheerful than before. Time for something hearty for breakfast!
