How Was Your Day? (Day 6, EE)

[Terrance Stone]

Terrance had sent a message to Mariessa Tremaine, inviting her to join him for dinner. It wasn't how he had wanted to do this, but his wound from the melee made moving too far difficult. So, he had arranged for a table to be placed and set outside of his pavilion and to have dinner brought for them.

[Mariessa Tremaine]

Escorted by Kevith, Mari did arrive for the 'date', keeping a slow pace herself... probably out of consideration for her protector who had exhausted himself on the field today.

As they came near, she turned and exchanged a few words with Kevith. The large man frowned and lumbered off on his own. Honestly, I hardly need an escort when we're here...

Not that Mari was the greatest supporter of the idea that she needed to be looked after all the time.

Her pace was still slow and cautious as she approached Terrance. ".... good evening. Thank you, for your invitation," she curtsied lightly.

[Terrance Stone]

He stood, carefully, and offered a bow. "Thank you, for accepting it. It's good to see you Mari."

"I had hoped we could go riding again, but I'm afraid I'm not in a condition for that currently." He looked down at his leg. "It does mean we can do that another day, though."

[Mariessa Tremaine]

"Ah, yes... I saw you took quite the beating in the melee. But you did quite well, considering two knights ganged up on you?" Mari sounded at least a little impressed as she took a seat, more than glad to give her leg some rest.

[Terrance Stone]

"Spears, unfortunately, aren't very effective against plate." he sighed as he returned to his seat. "But, the Maesters were able to patch me up fairly well. I hope your day was less eventful?"

[Mariessa Tremaine]

"Well, the melee was quite the event!" she chuckled softly, but it faded quickly. It was hard to maintain a cheerful expression. "Just... a real shame that what happened afterwards, to ser Harben, cast a shadow over it. I s-- heard you were on hand quickly to help him?"

[Terrance Stone]

"I mostly bore witness to the efforts of the others." he frowned. "It was a terrible sight."

His voice lowered. "It was poison."

[Mariessa Tremaine]

She frowned as well, lowering her voice as she leaned forward at the edge of the seat. "Poison? But... who would do that? And why?"

[Terrance Stone]

"I don't know." he shook his head. "I think it may have been in his waterskin."

[Mariessa Tremaine]

Mari sighed deeply, her hands clutching the sides of her skirts. "... I've known him since we were little. Hard to think that anyone would want to poison a noble soul like him."
