Not only was it good for the horses to stretch their legs along the forest's edge, but Mari's falcon was also enjoying the opportunity to take flight and hunt.
Kevith and Mari were both astride their horses, and Valerian and Reason were both well-acquainted with eachother so there was only a few minor quips between the two steeds. The young heiress was shielding her eyes as she looked up at the falcon above.
"I don't see why you're following me out here, Kevith," Mari murmured to her protector.
"Really? There's more'an rabbits and does in the forest, m'lady. Not all predators walk on four legs." Kevith retorted with an unamused frown.
"..." Mari frowned and looked away.
"... Or were ye hopin' for another mysterious knight to show up to save ye?"
Mari slapped his arm with her gloved hand, not enjoying the teasing.
