Once more, Marten squared off with an opponent. It would be impossible to have missed the talk that was already surrounding his opponent. Unseating both of his former opponents in a single pass. Truly, a force to be contended with. And much younger than he was, too.

He would just have to do his best.

Marten lowered his visor, ready.

It had to be Lord Tremaine. Leovall respected the older man. He was not only a capable fighter and rider, but also a great tourney knight once. If I can at least hit him well a few times I can hold my head up high. Deciding on his goal he salutes his opponent then collects his weapon. Nudging Cole into position he prepares to charge.

... Unfortunately his lance disintegrates from a poor hit.

Marten's lance crashed with great authority against Leo's shield as the riders came together, lance fragments and churned mud everywhere, along with the tremendous din of wood on metal.

There was no question of Leovall staying in the saddle; the blow had hit so hard he black out a moment! Rolling off Cole's back he landed heavily on the ground.

Marten rode Ardent in a wide circle once more. Raising his visor, he gravely saluted his fallen opponent.

It was a few moments before Leovall groggily came to, pushing himself up and shaking his head. Elsewhere Cole trotted around unsure of himself.

Marten waited until the younger knight regained his senses. "Are you alright, Leo?" He asked politely, his voice pitched low.

"As much as I can be." Leovall responds while pushing himself up with some effort. "Well struck."
