Festival of Roses

If dressage is a measure of control and grace, then the steeplechase is one of speed and raw power. Riders compete to navigate a course of hurdles in the best time.

Roll: Animal Handling (Ride), Formidable (TN12)
Repeat: Make up to a maximum of 5 attempts.
Failure: Your steed baulks or knocks the jump. -1 Hurdle Points.
Success (one+ degree): You easily clear the jumps and make good time. +1 Hurdle Point per degree of success.

Hurdle Points: The player with the most Hurdle Points at the end of the Display gains 1 Fame.

Fighting fit after a stint with the maester, Elwood takes to horseback to show off his skill ahead of the Joust. At least, that was the plan.

Unlike Marten, Androw didn't feel able enough to fight in the melee, but horse riding he could still do.

Still aching after the melee, Cortney took to horseback, but didn't do as well as he'd hoped.

With speed of crucial importance and knowing that Cole wasn't as good a jumper Leovall rode Josey for the steeplechase. With her combination of speed and powerful jumps she made short work of the course. The Marten heir didn't stick around too long afterwards however; he was going to follow the maester's suggestions so as not to antagonise his wound.

Terrance attempted the Steeplechase, but he was still heavily favoring his leg. At least he didn't fall off of Llyan.
