Festival of Roses

Kenway greeted the group from the Vale with a polite nod. Appreciative for Terrance’s straightforwardness, he gave the man’s belongings a brief check, finding nothing out of the ordinary, and waving the hunter and his dogs by.

“Thank you, Ser,” he grunted as Leovall presenting his belongings. A glance confirmed nothing out of the ordinary. “Apologies, Ser, but I must ask that you turn over your lance to the guards for safe keeping. Tourney lances will be provided for the jousts.”

Terrance led Llyan and the dogs off to the side, taking a moment to tend to each of the animals.

Liliane listened to the guard's comments about her higher ranking cousin's weapons and spent a moment running through what she should do.

"It's Leovall Marten, and yes, of course. I had hoped it might be stored somewhere so this works well." Leovall offered, nodding in agreement. "When will the jousts be Ser...?" He hadn't caught the man's name and this seemed a good way to do so.

"It's Kenway, Master-at-Arms. The jousts will be on the eighth day," he summoned the scribe as he handed the lance to a servant boy to take to the keep. "Plenty more planned ahead of that, though."

"Excellent. I'm looking forward to it Ser Kenway." That the master-at-arms was doing the checks himself made them more tolerable. Leovall shifts a little to pull in Cole who was growing bored. "I'm also looking forward to seeing what you Reach men are capable of. Anyone to keep an eye out for?"

"Ser Elwood is no doubt going to be making a showing in the final lists, and Ser Covey is visiting from Ashford, he's always done well at this sort of thing." He indicated for Leovall to move through so that Liliane could have her things checked.

"Ser Elwood and Ser Covey... I see." He commits the names to memory as he complies with Kenway's request. "Good luck with it all." He adds in passing, leading his horses on a little and turning back to watch how his cousin fares.

Kenway groaned as Liliane stepped forward and made her request, she wasn't the first to ask, and he doubted she'd be the last. "Of course not, m'lady, but I must still look. I will take the utmost care, of course."

"If you must," she said in a resigned tone, "Just please be careful."
