After a sharp drop in temperature overnight, the day breaks in a twilit purple, clouds building overhead. Throughout the day the clouds break into light, scattered showers, leaving the grass and the festival goers damp. A few hairstyles are ruined over the course of the day, as well as some ladies’ silk slippers, but for the most part the rain doesn’t affect the day’s activities.
